I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful outdoor wedding at the quaint venue, Avon Hill.
( http://www.avonhilllodge.com ) in Charlottesville, Virginia. It was the perfect location for a intimate gathering and not to mention the spectacular sunset views! The event coordinator Stephanie Scholl Events ( http://stephaniescholl.com ) did an amazing job on planning and decor! The day was filled with beautiful unique things to add the couples own style to the day. One of my favorites was the wedding gown by the Anthroplogie Bridal Line, BHLDN. The added Jewish traditions, the ceremony was taken place under a Huppah, which symbolizes the home that the couple will build together. They also broke glass with their feet at the ending of the ceremony. The glass suggests the frailty of human relationships. The glass is broken to protect this marriage with the implied prayer,”As this glass shatters, so may your marriage never break.”
The bride and groom had dated for many years before deciding to tie the knot! They have a lot in common and both work in the medical field. This was the first wedding I have photographed with all the groomsmen with the same career, they are all Doctors! The bridesmaids looked fabulous in there nude and pastel toned dresses. The beautiful bride was glowing the entire day, I loved photographing this awesome couple! It was a perfect day with a beautiful ending to the night, a live band and dancing on the outdoor balcony with the sun setting in the distance. A perfect ending to a perfect day!
I special thank you to my husband, Aaron Vanley for second shooting the wedding with me!
Enjoy the photos! xo.
